How do Chemical Peels work?

The downtime for a chemical peel will vary depending on your skin and the peel that is performed. Lighter peels such as the ZO Stimulator Peel may cause no reaction to a light flaking of the skin. During deeper peels such as the ReveSkin Peel, it is normal to expect heavy sheet peeling. Different types of skin can also produce different effects on the skin; oilier and thicker skin does not tend to peel as heavily as those with thinner, older, and/or dryer skin. Those that regularly exfoliate will also find that they will generally not have as much visual peeling/flaking.
